25 things a Muslim should carefully avoid

- Corrupt beliefs that do not conform to Ahl al-Sunnah belief,
- Neglecting or leaving actions (al-A’mals),
- Departing from honesty in one’s intentions (al-Niyyah) and actions,
- Persisting in sin,
- Abandoning thankfulness for the blessings of Islam (al-Nimah al-lslam),
- Not being afraid of a faithless death,
- Oppressing others,
- Not responding to al-Adhan, when called according to Sunnah,
- Rebelling against one’s parents in situations which are not against Islam,
- Making too’many oaths,
- Taking ritual prayers (al-Salah) lightly, neglecting the proper performance of Salah,
- Drinking intoxicating beverages,
- Persecuting Muslims,
- Claiming to be in the state of sainthood although not a saint (al-Wali),
- Forgetting one’s sins,
- Conceitedness, boasting of oneself, seeing oneself as a very learned scholar,
- Backbiting and gossiping,
- Being envious of one’s believing brothers/sisters, to be jealous,
- Disobeying one’s leader, .
- To conclude in advance, without any direct experience with a person, that he is good or bad,
- Telling lies,
- Avoiding learning the teachings of Islam,
- Men trying to resemble women and vice versa,
- Nourishing love for the enemies of Islam,
- Showing enmity towards the true scholars of Islam.
